The second edition of my post on things I like and collect, this one specifically being watches! Here are a few pieces that would fit nicely in the collection.

Nixon: The Trader
The Trader is predominantly black with a shiny finish and features a titanium carbide coated case. Waterproof to a depth of 200 meters, each scratch resistant body is individually numbered on the reverse. Again composed from a custom titanium carbide coated stainless steal, the band is to be fastened with a double locking butterfly clasp and inter-changeable PU band complete with stainless steel buckle. The 7 hand watch includes a Swiss quartz chronograph to illustrate the day, date and month.

Movado’s Bauhaus-inspired Master watch enjoys a slick PVD colorway seen here. The 45mm watch case includes sapphire crystals and water resistance to 300 meters. The watch’s understated face includes Swiss produced movement and a tonal black on black colorway. Available now through retailers with a suggested retail price of $3,495 USD.

Italian label Tendence has just released this pair of Gulliver watches. Perfectly round, each model has a modest elegance and features a restrained, modern design. Working with both a regular and oversized silhouette, the latter is complete with a pair of neat dials. Priced at 3,199HKD (Approx. $410) and 4,299 HKD (Approx. $550) respectively, each is now available through select stockists including I.T.

Casio has once again combined with Japanese anime franchise Evangelion to produce an outlandish G-SHOCK watch. The pair have again chosen to work on the popular GA-110 model but have this time opted for a more intricate colorway. Decorated with various bright colors, the watch face is complex and futuristic; featuring all the usual technical aspects enjoyed by the GA-110. Expect a release soon from select retailers.

In the Eastern hemisphere, it’s an all too common site to see matching couples clad head to toe in similar apparel and fashion. Playing on this culturally accepted trend, CASIO G-SHOCK create a special 2010 Christmas “Lover’s” collection of watches. The reliable DW-5600 in either Baby-G (for women) and the G-SHOCK is seen in pink with a black LCD screen. A release is set for November 27th through select retailers with a retail price of ¥ 23,625 JPY or $293 USD.

After a bit of a break with specific color themes, CASIO G-SHOCK release a new pack of technical watches titled the “Burning Red” collection. The range features four watches including the DW-6900, GW-7900, GW-9200 and the GWF-1000. Each watch features a bright red body with black highlights and a reverse LCD display. Available starting November at select retailers.

Unveiled at the recent Korean Formula 1 Grand Prix, you’re looking at the latest creation from luxury watch connoisseurs, Hublot. The F1 King Power Gold is the 3rd official watch released as part of the brand’s “Official Timekeeper of Formula 1” collection which was commenced earlier this year. The watch is intricately detailed with a ceramic brake disc-style bezel, 48mm “King Gold” case, black PVD titanium chronograph pushers with red rubber inserts, black rubber and Nomex strap with red stitching and a matching deployant buckle. The watch has been limited to just 250 pieces, each of which has been individually numbered.

Offered is a look into the upcoming Panerai PAM 386, a silhouette set to see an official debut at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in Geneva, Switzerland. Surely a hit amongst Panerai enthusiasts, this release from the Italian watchmaker offers a nice follow up to the Panerai Radiomir Composite PAM 339. Details include a 44mm brown composite case, brown dial with Arabic numerals and luminous hour markers, and an aged leather strap with matching large composite buckle, amongst many others. A bit more insight/specs into the piece is offered here.
